Interesting theory and I'm sure it works. But mentally once I start to walk, I don't want to run again. The 5K I ran the other week though a girl did this and finished about 30 seconds before me. If anyone else wants to try it, let me know how it goes.

the last year i ran the laurel 10k, i ended up walking/running it. and i finished pretty much exactly how i had the year before running the whole thing (when i thought i was in better shape). there is something in this. :)
